Jordan Hicks (Philadelphia Eagles)

This would allow him to ignore the constant calls and have an all-encompassing weekly update for everybody.
If the phone calls stopped, then it would be a good change. Instead, he'll still get all those calls and still have to hold dozens of press conferences regardless of whether there's actually anything new to report (which given Jordan's quiet approach, isn't going to be very much).

I think it's a good approach for someone who wants to condense the updates, but if they don't really like giving them... well...

Does he hate the attention from the media, or the constant phone calls? This would allow him to ignore the constant calls and have an all-encompassing weekly update for everybody. I personally think this is a good idea, and I would have to think Jordan agreed to it.

I hadn't thought about it that way...maybe this is a good way for him to tune out the rest of the media for 6 days and 23 hours a week. But I agree with jwins that some people just aren't going to let up...

He should tell the people then that won't let that he will no longer be considering their school if they keep calling him. That should shut 'em up...

No. 2 -- LB Jordan Hicks (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West)
Hicks has narrowed his list to Ohio State, Texas, USC, Florida, Alabama and Georgia. He says he will at least take official visits to the first three. He has scheduled Ohio State for Sept. 12 when the Buckeyes play USC and Texas for Oct. 10 when the Longhorns play Colorado. In the end, I think Hicks' decision comes down to one of those two and I see him giving Jim Tressel good news.
Prediction: Ohio State

LOL @ UC fans who say this kid isn't a football player (if you go to any UC boards, you probably know the clown I'm talking about). 8 tackles, 1 sack and probably one of the best plays I've ever seen on a football field. Yeah, he sucks.

P.S. Alex Smith isn't going to UC.

Lakota West?s Hicks in high demand
By Greg Billing | Saturday, August 29, 2009

Lakota West High School senior linebacker Jordan Hicks has earned his reputation chasing down quarterbacks and running backs. Now, he?s being pursued ? by the media.

To curb the demand for the No. 2-rated player from the Class of 2010, according to ESPN, Lakota West will hold a weekly conference call for media to interview him.

This from Lakota West?s website:

?Due to the high volume of requests from the media, the Lakota West Athletic Department will be holding a weekly conference call for media outlets to interview senior linebacker Jordan Hicks. Hicks, ESPN?s #2 rated player in the class of 2010, and Lakota West head coach Larry Cox will be available every Monday at 11:00am throughout the season to field questions regarding the recruiting process.?

I was there and let me tell you...the boy can flat out play. He hit one of NHS's RB's on the sideline right in front of Lakota's bench, and I heard it several rows up. CRACK! He was all over. He's really intense, even committing a couple encroachment penalties. But the play of the night was indeed the interception. I thought the most he would do was tip it, but it went straight up and next thing you know he corals it and takes off for the endzone. They probably would've won had their offense done more, cuz Hicks and the defense played 'em really tough. Here's to Jordan staying home:cheers:
