With the 'Beat Ohio' (chant), and I hear (the students) yelling yesterday 'Ohio,' 'Ohio,' so I just call them Ohio. I have received no direction in those areas, none. No direction from anyone; I just adopted it myself. There's some uniformity with what (football coach Brady Hoke has) done."
Hoke sounds desperate and stupid when he says it. You sound desperate-er and stupid-er.Buckskin86;2099271; said:
Beilein apparently thinks he's cool to call OSU "Ohio" so long as no one told him to do it. That, combined with his Miley Cyrus concert wave when being interviewed following the MSU game make him one of the bigger tools in all of college basketball IMO.On calling Ohio State "Ohio" after Sunday's loss in Columbus: "I can't tell you how it's happened; it's just sort of happened. Report: OU coach says Michigan's use of 'Ohio' is disrespectful
By The Detroit News
What does Ohio University think of Michigan football coach Brady Hoke and basketball coach John Beilein referring to Ohio State as "Ohio"?
The Ohio University Post, the student newspaper, addressed the issue Friday, saying OU coaches have taken notice.
Hoke, who took over as Michigan's head coach a year ago, started the "Ohio" reference as soon as he arrived. Beilein referred to Ohio State as "Ohio" following the Wolverines' 64-49 loss at Ohio State on Jan. 29
A day after Michigan's loss, OU assistant basketball coach Dustin Ford had a little fun on Twitter, congratulating his team for the victory: "Was recruiting all day yesterday and just saw on Twitter we played Michigan. Good win for us ? wish I was there #bobcatnation."
Ohio basketball coach John Groce, a former Ohio State assistant, told the student paper that Michigan's reference to "Ohio" isn't acceptable.
"It is kind of disrespectful, but it is what it is," Groce told the paper. "You can't control what other people say. You can only control what you're doing on a daily basis. For me, it's almost comical. They're going to say what they're going to say."
On Thursday, Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon, who made a reference to "Ohio," was asked if it's a U-M athletic department-wide edict to call Ohio State "Ohio."
"Nobody has ever instructed me to do that, I just like it," Brandon said jokingly about the Ohio reference. "Something about it, I just like it ? just seems to roll off the tongue better."

What's my name, Uncle Tom? - YouTube
I think that we have some epic beatdowns of TSUN ahead, with Ohio State fans chanting "what's my name?" from the stands, just like Muhammad Ali did as he mercilessly beat Ernie Terrell.
Be careful what you ask for, you might just get it.
