I think you're doing a good job clarifying yourself, 52... but I'm not going to pass on a shot at 97.1's programming. It's sad that I can't listen to my own home team's radio station without getting upset in under 15 minutes, unless it's the national talk shows. :so:

LOL, I understand that, and I agree, The Fan has some decent programming (I really enjoy Buckeye Roundtable), however, "The Common Man" and "The Torg" may not be their best work.

Sorry to come across hostile earlier at you man, it just seemed like you are getting on Tress a bit much over one game. [censored] happens, teams lose, this is the joy of looking forward to college football during the off season because of the ups and downs.

As far as listening to local Columbus radio sports talk, man do I miss hearing the stupids come out after a loss. Being stationed in Tucson (currently in another country on a mission), I don't have the opportunity to hear Spiels, Torg, or Common Man. Is there away I can download their stuff for some amusement?

Without justifying the programming at 97.1, let me just say that you'll find pretty much the same thing on sports radio in Athens GA, Gainesville, Tuscaloosa, Baton Rouge, Austin, Seattle, etc.

The Common Man and The Torg Weekly WBNS FM 97.1 The Fan Audio

Mike Ricordati, BTW, never bothered to finish college. Scott Torgerson's next grammatically-correct sentence will be his first. Neither one deserves a job in radio.

Ridiculous. The fans will feel better if he throws Pryor or the OL or the other coaches under the bus? I don't see any justification for saying that "Tressel makes it acceptable to lose." I have no doubt in my mind he is even more frustrated and disappointed than any one of us.

Pryor, the OL, etc were thrown under the bus by an "OSUinsider" after the loss to USC. then Tressel called the fans 'miserable.'

Lou Holtz was spot on on College Gameday last night, questioning whether Tressel has become so enthralled with Pryors athleticism that he's deviated away from his past Offensive philosophy of getting the RB's more carries to set up the play action.

Tressel still has very good ST's and an opportunistic D ( turnovers ) like always but he doesn't seem to know what to do with Pryor.. and it's killing this team.

Pryor had 21 carries?

There is little doubt that the offensive coaches will be thinking deeply about what to do about the offense.

The strategy of building everything around Pryor may need rethinking. One option may be to bring other players into the offense so that Pryor is required to do less. I guess the question is, who else is putting up their hands for more work and how will it affect the chemistry and performance of the team?

My belief is that Pryor is the central problem on that offense right now. Now, is that because the line is letting him down? Is it play calling? Is it his reaction to pressure? There are lots of questions right now that this coaching staff is going to have to consider.

Exactly. Anyone who doesn't think the staff won't be putting in extra hours reacting to Saturday's debacle is crazy. FWIW, I heard that Pryor had a practice on Wednesday that was every bit as bad as his game at Purdue-the coaches, IMO, are going to need more than their playbooks to fix this one..

And I thought I heard that Mike Brewster, and TP were saying the Off was ready to explode at Purdue....

I really don't have any problems with the Coach. He calls play based on team's ability to execute. When Troy was throwing nice spirals we had an explosive offense. He is one of the finest football brains.

My only problem is with TP and the OLine...They should be humbled by this experience and Zip it. go out there and play. Try to get better one first down at a time and not be All-World by throwing TDs each time they snap the ball.
