The play call on 3rd and long, 49 yard line defines the offensive play calling for me...if it was Bollman who decided to call for a pass in that situation, instead of running to try and get even 1 extra yard to setup a field goal and KILL MOMENTUM, then Fickell deserves just as much blame for allowing that to happen...i was piss drunk at that point of the game and even at that moment i knew we had to run to setup for a field goal...Bollmans answers after the game were terrible and Fickells weren't much better...if Fickell wants to make a good decision in his early career, then maybe he could start by releasing Bollman of all play calling duties....as good as the game plan was early on, when momentum switched and adversity hit Bollman in his big head, he went complete opposite of what was working for us which was the run...im sure he was thinking to himself "well michigan st just loaded the box on us, i bet nebraska will too....lets have joe throw it....they wont even see it coming!"....except after joes 2nd pass which was in the upper deck, he should of never thrown another pass in the game....it was a tale of two halves, but when the pressure got turned on... Bollman and Fickell along with our defense, blew a 28 pt lead and choked....as bad as the D was 2nd half the not setting up for the FG to me is the ballgame...even if basil misses it, hey you tried and made the correct decision...this blunder i will be putting next to the 3 timeout blunder in Miami

Maybe Bollman is angry toward Ohio State for forcing Tressel to retire. This bad play calling is his way of getting back at the administration.

That excuse may possibly work, cept for the fact that it doesnt explain the past 10 years. Good try though. I think we are all looking for whatever excuse we can find to ease the pain at the moment :biggrin:

Pitch to Hall and screen back to Miller. We should be throwing 5-10 screens a game to take some of the pressure off of the running game. Now that we have 3 RB's lineup Hall some at WR and use his receiving ability.

What I dont understand is that against Neb. you trust BM to throw the ball a little in a driving rain. Now because of wind(which isnt stopping Ill from throwing the ball) we decide to not build on the Neb game.

This week against Ill you oppose the forward pass completely. BM still has NO hot reads. He still has no swing passes, crossing patterns or screen passes. BM is not an idiot. He needs somebody who can actually instruct and teach him and trust him that he has learned what has been taught.

Again too much talent to waste. When does Hall catch a pass out of the slot? I wouldnt be surprised if we lose this game late because of our ability to not develop an offense. Cant wait for a new offense. Zero completions in the 4th quarter. Laughable and why in the hell would a wr want to come play in this offense. Go Bucks

I would also love to see some quick passes, but it doesn't appear to me that Miller is seeing the whole field. Give him the offseason and spring ball and he will improve significantly (the game will slow down for him). Right now, though, he's a 1 read or tuck it QB, and half of his tucks go for sacks.
