But wait, it turns out those all are just acceptable colors to use as part of OSU's branding guidelines, and the former are actually just the specified versions of black and white that are acceptable to "ensure consistency and protect our signature colors". What are the "signature colors", one might ask? "Scarlet and gray in combination are as well known as our name. They are our signature colors by which our audiences identify us as Ohio State."
