Jameis Winston (QB Browns)

Signed with Florida State.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- One of the nation's top high school quarterbacks is bound for Florida State.

Hueytown's Jameis Winston signed to play for the Seminoles on Friday at an indoor sports complex in Birmingham before teammates, family, friends and a handful of Florida State fans.

"I'm ready to get this started," Winston said.

ESPN and Rivals.com both rate Winston as the nation's top quarterback and among the 15 best overall prospects. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound dual threat quarterback was MVP of the UnderArmour All-American Game after going 8-of-9 passing for 178 yards and two touchdowns.

Free Scout: Jameis Winston Chooses FSU
5-Star recruit and No. 2 ranked quarterback Jameis Winston from Hueytown High School in Alabama has finally made his decision. Despite being a Florida State commit, the 6-4 190-pound prospect, who will be playing both football and baseball in college, was still considering Stanford after being accepted into the school this past week. Today he signed his letter of intent with Florida State.

?I just felt like I belonged at FSU,? Winston said. ?When I went on the visit it was like there was something different about it there. I?m very excited to be done with the whole recruiting process. I talked with coach (Jimbo) Fisher earlier today. I?m just ready to get down there.?

ESPiN Article on Jameis Winston.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Jimbo Fisher is worried about his quarterback.

Actually, that's not entirely right. Jameis Winston has inspired nothing but confidence -- from teammates, from fans and from his coach. And that's the problem.

Winston has yet to take a snap in a college game, but that's little more than a footnote to a mythology that has fans dreaming of Heisman trophies and national championships. The standards by which Winston is already being judged are immeasurably high, and that's where Fisher sees a need to intervene.

"You keep him realistic, tell him what's real and not real," Fisher said. "You let everybody else be legends and hype."

Florida State QB Jameis Winston -- frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy -- is being investigated for felony sexual assault, TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement and other sources tell TMZ ... a woman filed a sexual assault complaint with the Tallahassee PD on December 7, 2012. She claims the alleged sexual assault was committed with the use of "physical force."

According to the police report, the motive for the alleged crime was "sexual gratification." The alleged victim says drinking was involved before the incident.

The police report says on the day in question, someone called the cops at 4:01 AM. When police arrived, we're told there were photos taken of the alleged victim's injuries as well as physical evidence collected.

According to the police report, the incident occurred in an apartment.

Winston is described in the police report as "muscular" and his demeanor as "polite."

Our sources say cops have already interviewed Winston.

OK. That brings up the other side of that coin. Why have the cops slow played this for a full fucking year and obviously no suspension by FSU until the criminal case unwinds. Fucking obscene and another reason why thugs like this should go off to a minor league farm system rather than be brought onto college campuses that they are dar too frequently completely I'll equipped either socially or intellectually to be on.
