Sexual assault cases are the ultimate in "damned if you do and damned if you don't". I don't know if this girl was raped or not (today's announcement is that there is not sufficient evidence to file charges). What I do know is that when some other girl does get raped by a high profile athlete her situation just got tougher.

If it were my daughter I don't know how I would handle it, but it would likely not be through the legal system. Rape is lose-lose for the victim every time (I wouldn't trade being one of the Sandusky kids for any amount of money).

And yes, Tori Hunter has a clean kill and is spot on in what he is doing.

My meager background as a lawyer would indicate to me that he believes he would not be able to get a conviction, and that he does not believe Jameis is innocent.

Well how come in this case the victim gets to remain anonymous but Jameis doesn't? It wouldn't be as big of a deal to me if he got to remain anonymous. Now people probably will have a negative opinion of him despite him not doing anything wrong. It's just unfair.

so, this girl gets drug through the mud on national tv, and is basically labelled for life and has to transfer schools in hopes nobody ever figures out who she is, and no charges get filed. yep, that girl made out like a bandit in this deal.
