Jameis Winston (QB Browns)

I agree with everything except the bolded. There is no such thing as complete separation of church and state, just that the state cannot confer benefits to a religion/denomination to the exclusion of others. The IRS offers the exemption to all religions/denomination and also to plenty of secular purposes...there are twenty-some secular purposes that receive exemptions.

Off I go to research. :)

Warning: ESPiN article linked, but first I'm seeing of this angle to the story. Sounds like Winston's most current lawyer (Cornwell) is about to throw FSU in front of the train to keep Jameis clear.

What I love about this is that the school that compromised itself by covering for him is now being attacked by the attorney representing him. Is it possible the point will be reached when protecting him may cost them more than they are willing to pay?

Jesus Christ on a jackass. This article is enraging. First, Cornwell wants to know why this isn't taking place in a timely manner? Probably because of all the goons at the tpd and at FSU that tried to bury this. You know, the same ones that fed you info that you had no business getting. And secondly, he needs weeks to review police reports and such? Fuck off. Dude was given police reports before the fucking district attorneys were, which is why Cornwell strutted into the tpd with conjured affidavits from Winston's roomies when the police had no choice but to act on this because the media blew the whole thing open. Cornwell can suck a dick of Ebola dicks.

Trains been hurtling toward that point from the beginning. It's just a matter of when.

And that's why they pay these bastards the big bucks--they specialize in muddying the waters.

Actually, all these slimeballs have to do is dip their toe in and the waters are instantly murky.

As for your last statement: I shudder to think of what vile, degenerative diseases the poor Ebola dicks will catch from him.

Actually, one point that is kind of important. Cornwell is not the same lawyer as the one that originally was taking care of the rape case, so he may not yet have all of the information and reports on that (though if he doesn't at this point, I do think its his fault considering how much is out there and what the media has put out in the last week). But yes, I agree with all the sentiments in the above posts regardless.

To be fair that was a different lawyer, Jensen - Winston only recently retained Cornwell. Insofar as I can say that Winston himself hired either of them without snickering... more likely somebody connected to the FSU program.

I think we're at that point right now. It's exactly why FSU is suddenly interested in pretending to give a shit almost two years later. Now that DoE has become involved and she's retained Title IX lawyers with clear intent to file civil suit(s).
FSU and Winston are already pointing fingers at each other; eventually TPD will get involved in that act. I think FSU is the one that gets caught in the crossfire though.

FSU should be caught.
