JabriLLL "Ghost" Peppers (New England Patriots)

Borrowed Mili's numbers (and others) to make a visual breakdown of the mediocrity in those games:

Not only are Jerome Baker's season stats similar, he performed better in the "Big" conference games.

Jerome Baker -
Wisconsin - 13 Tackles, 1 TFL
State Penn - 4 Tackles, 1 TFL
Nebraska - 3 Tackles
scUM - 15 Tackles, 1 TFL, 1 Sack, 1 INT

35 Tackles, 3 TFL, 1 Sack, 1 INT

The only starter on our defense I would trade for GerbiLL is Damon Webb. That's probably a even trade in terms of coverage skills.

Noticed Jabrill "The Myth" Peppers is no longer in their 1st round mock. Guess there is something to say for actual production after all.
NFL teams care very little about production at the college level. Otherwise, Scooby Wright and Trevone Boykin would've been a first round picks.

NFL teams care about measurables, and Jabrill doesn't have the measurables - too small for LB, too slow for safety (and at 205 pounds listed weight, maybe even a bit small for safety as well).

After the Combine, I will compare Jabrill's measurables to some recent first/second round picks like Darron Lee and Landon Collins. Should be interesting....

That's not fully true. NFL teams definitely care about college production as well as measuables. If you look at almost ANY pick in the first 3 rounds they're all starters who have produced, very little projects. All of OSU's draft picks in the first round were due to college production and measureables for example. Boykin was a system QB with no accuracy, and Wright came off of an injury his last year. There are examples of players from system teams with gaudy stats who didn't fit the NFL system(Jason White, Tim Tebow, Colt McCoy, Arreleuos Benn, etc). There are a lot of factors that go into draft picks, and stats certainly are one of them.
