Buckeye Samurai of Big League Blitzkreig
http://www.cantonrep.com/sports/201...sed-pop-of-ohio-state-fan-might-go-unpunishedThousands watching the Ohio State University-Michigan game on television saw Michigan footballplayer Jabrill Peppers pop an OSU fan moments after the Buckeyes clinched the win over theWolverines in double overtime.
Such moments aren't unheard of in the sports world. However, how likely is it that charges wouldever follow?
That all depends, said Lara Baker-Morrish, chief prosecutor at the Columbus City Attorney'soffice. As of Monday, the fan hadn't filed a police report with campus officers since the Nov. 26game.
A case would not move forward without a victim willing to testify.
"If (the fan) came forward and wanted to pursue it, we would review it,"she said.
Also, if the two exchanged words, that would be taken into consideration, Baker-Morrishsaid.
