Also, many would describe Chuck as the best _____ to play the game in many categories, college DB, Ohioan, etc. Whether or not you agree, he's pretty darn close at worst.Peppers's yardage totals are closest to Woodson, who was also primarily a defensive player. However, Woodson had 7 interceptions during his Heisman campaign, while Peppers has just one.
Peppers wasn't close to being one of the better defenders in this game. Let's ignore the DL that might also put him to shame and just look at his actual positions:
If you ranked the LBs in The Game this year, he's #4 or lower (I'd bump him to 5 below McCray).
If you ranked the DBs in The Game this year, he's #5 at best, way below Hooker, Lewis, Conley, Lattimore.
Like always, to win, you run and throw right at Peppers and OSU did both with lots of success (despite a pretty mediocre showing overall on O). You avoid Chuck like the plague if you want to win.
But hey, he does lots of stuff, so let's ignore his actual play.
