Iowa @ tOSU, Sat Oct 22, 12pm, FOX

For sure better in the second... my concern is our rushing offense though. Couldn't get anything going there and that's a concern.
The problem I think is they Telegraphed their runs and didn't switch out of when Iowa was run blitzing with 7 or 8. By the time the Passing offense got going there wasn't much switching it up to keep them off balance.

Then the last 2 drives we went patented Day turtle ball with the backups in though they threw it at least.

Meanwhile I randomly switched over to Tennesee wondering how that game wasn't over and their 3rd or 4th string QB was still throwing almost every down up 65-21.

We'll know for sure next week if we can't run on that team TSUN carved up

54-10
6 TOs by the Defense - 1 for a TD
158 yds allowed by the Defense
10 TFLs and 5 sacks
Against the number 2 Defense in the Country:
Stroud 20/30 and 4 TDs
Ruggles 4/4

I’m pretty good with it for an off day….
That's just it..an off day and we still scored 47 points vs a team that's never given up this many.

IMO, shit just gets weird when we add JSN back in. They do exactly what they said we shouldn't do which is force things. You could feel that all first half especially.

Then JSN goes out and the offense starts producing again.

I'm not saying we are better without JSN but we certainly try too hard with him.

Not having a running game and giving up a touchdown via our offense cannot continue though.

First half could have been worse if not for a bs flag against Dewand on the play Stover made it to the 3 yard line on a reception.
I missed the second half, unfortunately. Judging from the score, I guess Iowa's defense continued to "dominate," lol. It seemed like Klatt was constantly exaggerating how well they were playing. Kept the Hawkeyes in it but wasn't dominant.
