Winning run on 3rd for Chicago with one out, yet the Tribe outfield is playing normal depth. Hmmm...

No matter...Wood uncorks a wild pitch. Ball game. You can't make this stuff up, folks.

Was brwosing the Tribe website and came across this:

MLB and its Teams Job Board: Baseball Jobs, Careers and Employment Opportunities

I'm suprised they don't have anything about Bullpen openings!! Unbelievable!! I used to pitch in college until I blew out my shoulder. One of the rangers at my golf course here in Fort Myers is the trainer for the Fort Myers Miracle AA team for the Twins, we talk regularly and he said "hey there's hope for you yet, just when the market for 34 year old pitchers with a bum arm was going dry the Tribe always looking for someone!" I told him he could F-off LOL Can it get much worse? At least I EXPECT the Browns to lose, this season of the Tribe is killing me. I hope they can right the ship in the 2nd half, they are in weakest division so who knows! GO TRIBE!!

I guess the argument can be made for Wedge is that he does not throw the pitches but he certainly does determine who is throwing the pitches At any given time in the ballgame. So I guess you can rule that argument out in defense of Wedge which management will probably do.

In yesterdays game, the Cubs reliever just had walked a left-handed batter to load the bases with two out in the eighth inning with our picture do up so who does Wedge bring in to pinch-hit but none other than the strikeout catcher Shopach and then the very next inning he pinch hits left-handed hitting Crowe for Garko. Now why did he not use Crowe instead of Shopach the inning before. Just another one of his dumb moves. I mean the guy has got to go. He just keeps on making one stupid decision after another.

Oh, I forgot all about Wedge asking JP to bunt after he had homered and doubled in prior at-bats.

I think before they blow up this team they really need to change managers and get rid of the entire coaching staff before they blame it all on the players.

Each loss is another brick on the road to a major shakeup, so I'm not even upset with today's pathetic effort. My hope is that they continue tanking into the all-star break and they actually fire Wedge. That's where it all begins.

On STO yesterday, Drennan I guess came out and said that Wedge should be canned and he has always been a pretty big supporter of Wedge. That coming from the flagship station of the Indians has to put some heat on Dolan to pull Schapiro's chain to do something.

Maybe they need to see your aviator:(

Something needs to be done. Wedge is currently the 4th longest tenured manager in the bigs (behind LaRussa, Scoscia and Cox), and what has he done to earn that? One playoff appearance in seven years? That one appearance included a monumental ALCS chokejob. The 2005 team choked down the stretch. He's something like -23 on his pythagorean record for his career (tsteele pointed out 2007 is the only year he finished better that the pythagorean). How this guy has survived this long is beyond me...

This team is an absolute mess right now. The meltdowns in that Cubs series show it. I'm not even upset anymore because I see it as a vessel to get them to where they need to be...rebuilding. Now, if Shapiro stands pat and doesn't do anything, then I'll be downright pissed. It's one thing to say you still think you can make a run in late May or early June, but when you're playing probably the worst ball in the league and 13 games under .500 heading into July, it's time to face fucking reality...you stink.

I did not watch the game yesterday after watching Friday and Saturday. That was enough for me but Drennan said that yesterday the team did not even look like you wanted to be there and if that is the case that is even more reason to let him go.

As I have said before, he might not make the pitches or might not be responsible for hitting the ball but he sure as hell is responsible for who he puts out there and how they perform. In addition, when it comes to strategy I really have not seen much from him since he became manager of the Indians. The Dolan's will be fools if they don't tell Shapiro to get rid of him and, if it takes his firing, so be it. They have lost quite a bit of their fan base already and they will just continue to lose more if nothing is changed.
