Indians Tidbits (2009 season)

Unfortunately, the braintrusts in charge are still harboring the delusion this team can compete this year. I'm sure they'll wake up come July-August, but in the meantime, they're completely wasting LaPorta. It's criminally inept the way they're handling him right now.

Stop saying Braintrust... it's insulting to even sarcastically.

Oh, and what's your boy Chuck Lofgren up to, since we're talking Aeros Pitchers.

Hey, promote 'em all. The guys on the farm can't be any worse than the schlubs they've been trotting out there all year. Statistically, one of these guys should end up being a keeper...but then, the Tribe's recent track record of developing pitchers hasn't been all that great...

it seems they have 1 or 2 good years, and then suck after that

Carmona and Sowers for example

So yesterday, they go up against (arguably) the best pitcher in baseball and come out with an 8-3 win. The pigeon coop help them scoreless for 3 innings and Betencourt actually got the save. Pretty sad if they're going to that tubby bastard over Wood. Another solid outing from Pavano.

Wood had thrown a lot of pitches the previous two games. He blew one and nearly blew the other. On the bright side, after he had walked the bases loaded with one out on Wednesday, he made some nasty pitches to strike out Teahen & DeJesus. Obviously it's never good when your closer walks 3 in an inning but hopefully he figured out whatever had been causing his troubles.

wood also pitched 1/3 of an inning the night previous, so he had 3 straight appearances.

2nd and 3rd NO OUTS and the [censored]heads can't even put the ball in play once?!

I really cannot think of words to describe this whole situation...they are [censored]tier than [censored].

Yep, this is definitely the team I grew up loving. Just like the good old days when I was a kid.
