Are you surprised with the shaved ape managing them? I hope they lose out. I know it's unlikely at this point, but I don't want any chance whatsoever of mongo coming back next year.

yea you're right It isnt really shocking

Mongo himself has no idea what a sacrifice is, so it shouldnt be expected that the players do

-Marte now 4 for his last 35. That sound you hear is the death rattle of his career. He's been like the annoying itch that won't go away...it's finally going to get scratched.

-I don't see any possible circumstances that Mongo is brought back. :groove2:

-LaPorta is struggling, hope he can close strong and go into next year with a little momentum.

-I really like Brantley. Even though he was 0-4, he showed a good eye at the plate taking a walk late in the game. I don't know where he fits in with a potentially crowded OF next spring, but I like his chances.

-I have no clue what they're gonna do at 1B next year. LaPorta? Maybe. I'm puzzled why they didn't bring Jordan Brown up to at least give him a look. Anybody with a functioning frontal lobe can see that Marte isn't the answer.

“Plate appearances is what it comes down to,” said Indians Farm Director Ross Atkins when asked about Browns non-September callup. “With Andy Marte, Matt LaPorta and four catchers on the roster, there just weren’t plate appearances for Jordan. That is the most important aspect of the decision.”

four fucking catchers is ludacris in the first place........

get rid of one of them or hand Marte his walking papers

Gimenez and Toregas get maybe 1 hit per week combined, neither of them are a part of the future either

That's this organization and player development in a nutshell. Andy fucking Marte? This smacks of Shapiro's refusal to admit that he whiffed on a trade acquisition. The guy is not a ML player. It's plain as day. LaPorta hasn't played at all at 1B, correct? What's he have to do with anything Jordan Brown related? :shake:

I don't know how bright a future Brown has, but it's better than Andy :slappy: Marte...that much is certain.

andy marte is circling the drain.

laporta is probably going to struggle as a rookie. not surprising.

brantley will probably start the year in AAA unless he tears it up in spring training. if marte is gone, laporta will play 1st, which he did in the minors a little. brantley has the potential to be a leadoff hitter in the future, which can move sizemore to the #3 spot, where he belongs.

jordan brown's performance this season at least warrants a look at the big level, although i doubt he'd be much different than marte.

Good to see that these guys still enjoy making shitty pitchers look good

Royals win 7-0

Kyle Davies comes into the game with a 5.54 ERA

6 IP 1 H 0 R

as the royals combine for a 2 hitter

You must enjoy pain:) I know over the years that I have never given up on Cleveland teams and usually watched almost all of their games for an entire season but this team is so pathetic I quit watching them almost a month ago. I still read box score but that's about it. They are bad and I don't see much hope for the future. They absolutely have no pitching for the future and to depend upon rookies or young talent to come through as position players is hoping for quite a bit.

1. They now have one of the deepest farm systems in baseball.

2. One of the reason's for that is the pitching. Some of them may be a couple years off, but saying they "have no pitching for the future" is just false.

Personally, I feel better about the direction they're taking than I have in a long time. Gonna be a couple lean years, but they'll be better for it in the long run. Sadly, it's the only way teams outside of NY, BOS, CHI, STL or LA can compete.
