Indians Tidbits (2007 Season)

Yet again a GREAT pitching performance from our pitchers and we can't get a win...let alone base runners. Sorry but 1 hit ain't gonna cut it. I'm sick of this. We SHOULD have two 20game winners right now. I HOPE the indians don't make the playoffs for this bullshit that they pulled tonight/have been pulling for the last month

I'd like to be the first to formally congratulate Kenny Lofton on forgetting how many outs there were in the 1st inning....good stuff Kenny

Seriously, does this team even give a shit?

No, they do not and do you know where this teams attitude comes from? Eric frickin clown Wedge. He could easily be the worst manager in all of the bigs. Will they ever can Shelton too?

The fact that that assbag still has a job makes me think no one in the organization gives a shit....and yes, Eric Wedge is the worst manager in the bigs. We just extended his contract...rad.

yes it's clearly the managers fault this team got one hit last night. it's clearly his fault that cleveland's leadoff man forgot how many outs there were in the 1st god damn inning and got doubled up.

Obviously, I do not have the answer to their inability to hit the ball but it may be time to change their approach to hitting, to me the pitchers have been keeping the tribe off balance due to our hitters not being very selective at the plate, they are up their trying to hard.

Fausto Carmona is 1-4 in his past five starts, despite a glittering 2.19 ERA.

Carlos Guillen waves to the crowd after his home run in the fifth inning. Guillen was the second straight Tigers hitter to homer, and that was enough to sink the Indians.

DETROIT -- Fausto Carmona ambled into Comerica Park yesterday, an iPod in hand, bouncing slightly to the music playing in his ears. He has an easy confidence that has survived home runs, heartbreaking losses and the pressure of a pennant race.
Few of his Cleveland Indians teammates can say the same, at least at the moment. It was obvious when they stepped between the lines last night.

INDIANS INSIDER
Wedge: Laffey the right choice for rotation
Detroit -- Eric Wedge likes a good mystery.
The Indians manager rarely tells reporters anything until the last possible moment. He does it to keep peace in the clubhouse and to keep the media turning the next page.
Tuesday afternoon, Wedge came clean ahead of schedule. Maybe he had more important things on his mind, like this three-game series against Detroit. Maybe he just didn't want to answer the same question for the next couple of days.
