You'll notice it's dated June 30, 2005, when the Tribe was just 42-35, eleven games behind the Sox, and had barely an inkling (if that) of making the playoffs. Point is, I don't think Cleveland fans were ever shitting on their team, or even saying they didn't have hope. Every team has fans that are what you might call 'fair-weather' - those who don't come out in full regalia when their team is losing. Those who do are to be commended, but can you fault people for getting excited about what could be, historically, the greatest comeback to take a division in major league history?

I say this with a staunch record of being anti-fair weather fans:

Go Indians, Red Sox and White Sox!

I'm not a huge Baseball fan, but Bronx misery rings in my ears like a chorus of little birdies. Heck, I've never liked the Indians and even I'm hanging on their every at-bat.

Chicago saw its lead atop the division cut to 2 1/2 games over Cleveland after an 8-0 loss to the Indians on Wednesday. The White Sox, who led by 15 games on Aug. 1, have dropped nine of their last 13 games.

Despite its shrinking lead, Chicago insists it is in the driver's seat.
``I don't think the pressure is on us,'' White Sox third baseman Joe Crede said. ``It's on them. We're not chasing them, they're chasing us,''

1) I didn't say you SAID you hated them, I'm just calling a spade a spade.....you spade.

2) Yeah, all you are doing is talking about a big baseball story. Sounds like my cousins who all they were doing was just swinging their arms and the other one walked right in to it. BS.
