Indians Playoff Hopes (Merged)

Garland their best pitcher, got beat and that is not a good sign with the Twins coming in.

By they Indian's number 5 starter at that.

With how tight the whole AL is right now no one is going to be able to rest up pitchers for the playoffs. I think Cleveland's pitching depth will give them an advantage over the other teams that aren't as deep. Any one of their 5 starters can go out and pitch like an ace on any given day. If the other teams have to overuse their better pitchers just to get into the playoffs they will be hurting the first game or 2 of the playoffs.

seriously i didn't see any indians stuff all year, until the past month, now everyone at work has the indians coffee cups out and wearing the jerseys on casual friday...what a joke

We didn't really have much to cheer for until the past couple months. Most Indians fans still feel jaded about the dismantling of the team a few years ago, even though it now looks like it was for the best. If the Tribe makes the playoffs this year. The fans will be back all next year. I think they just want to see something from the Tribe before they start coming back. Of course with the Cavs getting good and the Browns having a team again there are a lot more tickets to buy in Cleveland than the last Indians run so we'll see. I'll be at that Rays game next Thursday because I was able to get half price tickets. :p

Buehrle is their best pitcher. Buehrle is their best pitcher. Buehrle is their best pitcher. Buehrle is their best pitcher. Buehrle is their best pitcher. Buehrle is their best pitcher.

Relax, The White Sox can't possibly blow a 15 game lead......can they?

IF Cleveland catches the White Sox, I believe it will be the biggest choke job in baseball history.

you know the indians are doing what the white sox did at the begining of the year right? it's like the red sox talking shit on the yankees for winning the WS last year.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

:roll2:

You sound like a Chicago fan in denial.

They have been playing .500 ball since the break, not exactly the type of performance they had at the beginning of the year. Its not where you start but where you finish. It should be interesting.

In the biggest game of the season for them last night, they come up with absolutely nothing.....they got shut out by our fifth starter!

Pathetic.

The White Sox are 23-24 in their past 47 games.....

The Indians have four games at Kansas City, an off day, three home games against Tampa Bay and then a three-game finale at home against the White Sox.

No team in the HISTORY of baseball has had a 15 game lead cut to 2.5 games......:tongue2:

i thought the goal was to be in the lead

Maybe you ought to tell Chicago that the season is not over yet...
