Indiana Hoosiers (your shinebox, go f'n get it)

What exactly are they developing when almost all of the starters are transfers

Sucking off IU is the thing to do in sports media right now.

Even 11W is getting in on the act.

It's this years version of Coach Prime "building something" at Colorado. Lots of clicks until they get on the field with a real NC contender and get slapped back to reality. Then crickets.

They did have 2 guys drafted a few months ago, a 4th round DL and the QB in the 7th round, both by the 49ers.

Just checking another program for comparison, I looked at Minny. They had 3 guys taken, 2 in the second round.

So that development thing seems to be a work in process.

Indy is for real this year. They are playing well and have great chemistry. Though we have more talent on both sides of the ball. If we meet in the BIG Championship game it might come down to turnovers, penalties and field position. Besides a talent advantage, we also have the advantage in big game experience and it's not even close. But, for now, one game at a time. Beat Wisky!

The media sucking-off of Indiana is simply because they are, by the numbers, one of the worst programs ever. 125th in win percentage. It's a notable story.

I for one love that, after LSU beat us in the title game, and "SEC" chants broke out, it began the current era of college football where conferences and which one you played in, became super important. The SEC would beat up in each other and get the benefit of the doubt every single time over other teams.

And now we have the 12 team playoff. Before the 2024 season SEC fans bragged about how they would make up 75% of the bracket, then Alabama, LSU, Auburn etc. don't make it in, but Indiana does. They bitched and bitched and bitch. Then we steamrolled Tennessee and Texas and Notre Dame, and their inexperienced HC, beat Saban's heir apparent when they defeated Georgia and 2/4 of the playoff were Big Ten teams, and one of the remaining two were a mid-west team. And we had a mid-west National Championship game. And it wasn't selective, media hyped bullshit like the Bama vs LSU title game. It was earned in the first ever 12 team bracket. If all of that, including Indiana making it in over Bama, doesn't make you happy, then I don't know what will.

And yet, they STILL bitched that the Hoosiers made it in over Alabama. All off-season. And then this season starts and Indiana is looking to go undefeated in the regular season, beating everyone in their path, while Alabama loses to Memohis and Notre Dame.

It's great that Indiana is good. I don't want to be a conference homer, like the SECtards, but they started the whole incestuous "rooting for your own conference" thing and convinced the media it matters, so we are forced to live in that world.

Part of it is Civil War based. If you grew up in the north you tended to think the war was over and let’s move on. Southerners had a much different mind set.

As for me, I’ve been an Ohio State fan first and a Big Ten fan second.
