I like how that's one of the cheapest guitar brands in existence

To a guitar player, it looks like a photo shoot with a Dodge Neon
A regular Dodge Neon? Or an SRT-4 Neon? The SRT-4 was factory rated at 215hp... except Sport Compact Car magazine put one on a dyno, and it put down 223 to the wheels, which means that it actually had ~300hp at the crank. Those cars were insanely underrated from the factory. I knew a guy who had a modded one. He would race *anyone* from a roll. Not so much from a dig, because hooking up was definitely an issue, along with insane torque steer. I watched him break his dick off in cars that cost 2x-3x as much numerous times. The funny thing was, his "real" car was a freaking Viper. He just liked to clown people in his "It's just a Neon" for the lulz.

IDK what my point was just now. It's my Friday, and I've had a couple Hazy Janes.

Carry on.

We lost to the #1 team by three points and the #2 team by ten points--which were our only two losses of the season--and we return our Heisman Trophy finalist at QB and the best WR in the country this coming season, and yet we get ranked at #6 in the pre-season poll?
I was puzzled too but then saw our schedule. The good thing is, we’ll be #1 again if we beat Texas.

From my days as a stock boy at a grocery store in Centerville: One customer put a Porsche four banger in the ass end of a VW minibus. Another dropped a Chevy 350 into an MG- TD body. The guy with the mini was smart enough to also put Porsche level brakes on his monster. Oh, and fuck Michigan.

I can't help but find similarities between Tressel and Cignetti. Of course they are different, but similar paths, and won a natty against Miami their 2nd year.

Both had success at a lower level. Relatively unheralded hires. Both came in and totally turned the culture around their first year. Both stress being well prepared and well coached. Both smart coaches. Won a NC their second year, and had undefeated seasons. Quickly set their programs up for success in the era to come.

Great turnaround but I’m already annoyed with the whole “plucky underdog” story. Comparing it to David vs Goliath and the Miracle on Ice.

The overall comeback from the worst program in history to winning a title is remarkable. But let’s not act like they didn’t spend money. Let’s not act like they didn’t have great players. They took advantage of the new era quicker and better but this wasn’t some huge undermanned team. I think people are still adjusting to HS star ratings vs actual good, experienced college players.

They were coming off an 11-2 season with the only losses to teams in the Championship.

They were favored in the title game by a full touchdown vs a #10 seed that didn’t even win their conference. Heck, they had to be favored in damn near every game except Oregon and OSU this year. It would have been a bad coaching job by Cig to lose to most of that 16-0 schedule.

I was very happy for my school for a moment but the Buckeye born side still rules me. That title game itself wasn’t some massive, shocking upset. Heck, we may look back at this being the norm - teams that were historically down going “all in” for seasons that just seem to fit.

I do know they aren’t going away. Cig, the money - and most importantly his coordinators - will be tough as long as they’re around. They’re very very good.

Anyway, was seeing too much annoying “upset”/cinderella type of talk.

Indiana's Fernando Mendoza, likely No. 1 pick, enters NFL draft

Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who won the Heisman Trophy and led the No. 1 Hoosiers to their first national championship this past season, is forgoing his final college season and entering the NFL draft, he announced on social media Friday.

Mendoza is an overwhelming favorite to be the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft by the Las Vegas Raiders.

"Let's get to work," Mendoza wrote on his Instagram account. "I'm humbled to announce that I am officially declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft!"
