Indiana at tOSU, November 21st, Noon on Fox

This team walked into the year with a silver spoon in their mouth. It's all been too easy, even when they made it harder than it had to be. Today, they got strong evidence that you need to do more than show up...players and coaches. They have some easier games to get themselves straight, but there are some real warning bells ringing.

And they need to see a lot more of Coombs legendary positivity on the sidelines.

You don't have to be Belichick to figure out they can't run and they're eating your secondary. Adjust, preferably before they put up 500, eh?

Yeah playing the base 4-3 when that became clear was criminal. It's like they stopped them with it in the first half so let's just roll with with that and play vanilla on D. Then they started to get big plays and confidence and took off from there.

Yeah this is all I can take from games at this point. Hope you just get to play a game every weekend. Maybe look sharper if they can play four straight and figure some things out.

Indiana's a good team, and it was looking like a blowout for about 10 minutes. Just wish they were able to put more of these games away when they had the opportunity.

I wish I was banging Jessica Alba.

Is what it is. Restraining orders are a bitch.

4-0 and, Woody willing, a chance to push tsun's shit in again.

I'm good.

I mean bad compared to who though I guess is my question? Clemson’s defense has been sliding backwards and gave up 47 to the Domers, and the Domer offense isn’t THAT good. Domers gave up 31 to a worse team than Indiana in BC. Bama’s looking like they may be rounding into form but hard to tell because of the offenses they’ve played recently. There’s honestly nothing I’ve seen to make me believe OSU couldn’t go toe to toe with any of the top 4. Everyone is heavily flawed.
All fair points on defense. My bigger concern in the big picture is that IU just showed everybody how to seriously disrupt Justin Fields and our offense. They blitzed him all ducking day and he clearly doesn’t respond well to it. He had two of the dumbest throws I’ve ever seen from a Buckeye qb in the face of pressure. That was against 3* IU kids that probably never even got noticed by major programs. Now imagine if it’s a defense stocked with 4 and 5 star kids getting thrown in his face. For 17 games he was used to a pretty clean pocket and not much pressure. Today that showed big time. You can bet every DC on our remaining schedule and potential post season opponents are taking notes.

This is exactly my issue, and it's not about practice or talent, it's about making coaching adjustments.

It's about not leaving the secondary hung out to dry when they're struggling with the pass and you're stuffing the run. This is what Coombs gets paid to do.

Just sayin': Indiana didn't win the game; but after being down 28 they definitely didn't quit. They were in the game until the end and got beat by a better team (favored by 21) by only 7 points. As of today, Tom Allen = B1G COY.

That's how Ivan Drago must have felt beating on Rocky.

Couldn't believe they stayed in the fight.

Tip of the cap to IU. Some set of balls on them (no homo)
