If he got a raise and stuck with LSU I have no problem with it. If he rebuffed us without talking I have no problem with it. If we never reached out that be more interesting depending on who we are going after

Just covering their tracks. This is a move for PR & recruiting. Though as Kyle Lamb mentioned, saying you turned down that type of offer to stick with your current players & incoming classes would look better, IMO. No sweat. On to plan B.
