I figured I'd start a temporary thread where we can discuss what coaches we see leaving and more importantly who we all see (or would like to see) replacing our current time staff once they have departed.

I think Fickell is an obvious to UC but I'm not so sure if Coombs goes to UC or not so I'll assume he stays.

I think Schiano stays another year as defensive coordinator and I'd like to see Charlie Strong given a look to coach our backers and he a co coordinator.

If Warriner were to leave I really hope we give Mark Helfrich a look.

Yes. Phillips ran the offense at UK for all of Andre' Woodson's career (2005-2009). Ran it so well he got the HC gig for three years because of the offense. Woodson could have been a Heisman finalist twice if he'd played anywhere other than Kentucky.

Joker didn't come to OSU to be a QC assistant until he retires.

Joker's a bright offensive mind. Would love to see Urban go out and find another up-and-comer like Herman to share the duties with him.

Schiano's rumored to be in the running at USF. I know it's been mentioned a million times, but wonder if Charlie Strong would be interested in a year or two with Urban again before moving back to a HC gig?

Rumor is that Strong will be the guy at USF.

Bucknuts mentions two potential names if Warriner moves on to be a HC:

Mike Sanford, Jr. (ND)- I'd love this. Bright young offensive mind. Good play caller, good QB developer (ahem).

Kevin Wilson (former IU HC)- Obviously would take some digging to ensure there's no spooky skeletons in his closet at IU, but he's a brilliant offensive mind and play caller. IU always had some of the B1G's more innovative offenses under his regime and he had a helluva run at Oklahoma as OC from 2006-10.

Assuming Wilson checks out, either would be a great addition, IMO.
