Illini recruiting train continues to steam down the tracks...picked up a pair of 2* NR recruits (TE, OT) in the past few weeks, neither possessing another FBS offer.

Further, the Illini have now gone two calender years without a conference win equalling a 16 game B1G losing streak.

For your weekly illini schadenfreude, I give you scout's 2014 Illinois rankings...

http://recruiting.scout.com/3/2014_Illinois.html

So, the illini recruiting train currently has secured commitments from only the #18,21,31,33, and 46th rated instate commitments, with none of the few remaining higher than 18 even considering them. As such, their highest instate commit for 2014 will be #18. That's inexcusable, and an unmitigated disaster for their recruiting efforts to dig out of the deep talent hole they're currently mired in. I miss thakid. :sob:

Why do I harbor this deep-seeded hatred for the lowly illini, you might ask? Well, if their minions didn't come on here showing their collective asses a few years back, I'd probably view them with total indifference like, say, Indiana. But, they got all pompous and big headed after their fluke 2007 season, and here we are...
Interestingly, tOSU has secured the #3 and #10 rated prospects in Illinois this year. :urban2:

CHAMPAIGN, ILL. — Illinois quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase’s father has been banned from campus for a year after his arrest over an altercation at Saturday’s football game.

University police Chief Jeff Christensen said Tuesday that Nathan Creer was arrested after an argument at Memorial Stadium during Saturday’s game. Christensen said Creer became “somewhat aggressive” with officers.

Cont'd ...

At halftime yesterday. They also had a card show to go along with the band's Veterans' Day tribute -- nowhere close to being able to do their part of the show. Sad......or hilarious. Whatever.
