Game Thread Illinois 28, Ohio State 21 (final)

OK. We started out this game in a way that made it seem like it wasn't going to be much work today.

Now, we need to realize that we are in a real game and our guys need to get their heads into the game. Illinois is a well-coached team that has a good game plan. They have executed well.

What we get a chance to see now is this: How badly do our Buckeyes want to play in the national championship game?

Let go of the fumble. What let the air out of the stadium...was the guy that ran right up the middle of OUR VAUNTED DEFENSE...AND NEARLY WENT YARD...

Fumble or not...

sure the long run let the air out. are you arguing that the Buck's having the ball on the 20 with a 7-0 lead wouldn't have reinflated it?

i'll be back on later... i'm going to have a heart attack now.

We've been a good second half team all year. Coaches will make the needed adjustments. I know the saying about "if's" and "but's", however, there was two fumbles by Illinois that were not called that we recovered. Also, if Ballard and Boeckman hook up, it's a different game.

The way I see it we just got caught looking ahead to Meatchicken. Now Tressel will go in, have a talk with the players, make some adjustments on both sides of the ball and see what happens. When you are behind that's when you have the best opportunity to make your adjustments, so don't everyone go jumping off of buildings now. One would assume the coaches have changes in mind, we're paying way too much attention to the run and the pass is being left open, meaning we aren't playing our game.

We need to get some good hits on Williams, a few of those and we'll see a change in the option, remember Washington, we kept hitting Locker and soon he started to think twice, that's what needs to happen here. It's seven points, one touchdown.
