At the kickoff meeting last Friday, Paterno said last year he witnessed the worst-refereed game he'd ever seen. He said it was the Penn State-Purdue game (it was the same crew that worked tOSU-Illinois 1 week later). Then JoePa said that all the calls went Penn State's way, so it was OK.

It was funny - he and Tiller are always giving each other grief at those luncheons.
