If you don't wear scarlet on Saturday, are you a jerk?

So you are very happy that Orlas King, the Neutron Man, is no longer around and embarrassing you.

I suppose you're suggesting I'm glad he's dead, which is utterly absurd and ridiculous.

You believe people like Woody impersonator Roger Thomas should grow up, or no longer be permitted near a Skull session, let alone a Buckeye football game.

I don't mind him so much.

I'm in my mid-fifities, and I enjoyed fans like these two were / are. There are dozens like them at every game and all of the people in my age group that I know also like(d) when these fans "perform."
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Everyone else knows whose opinion, at least on this subject, is in the majority. :wink2:

I'm talking more along the lines of these losers, who are always hogging for the television:

These guys are all douchebags. I was at Gameday at Penn State in 2005. We lined up along the side at 8:30......the show doesn't start till 10 and it's obviously 2 hours long. So we stood there for 3 and a half hours. Herbie told us we'd get on camera after the picks, so we're just waiting for our 2 seconds of fame. The douche with the ugly scarlet & gray wig and the facepaint and ridiculous signs that look like they were made by a 1st grader pushes his way to the front and tells us if we let him stand with us we'll get on TV. At 11:55 he tried this shit. We told him to take a walk.

That's how they get on TV at games, btw. They buy whatever cheap ticket they can find, then push their way down to the front row and tell the people if they let them stand there, they'll all get on TV. They can all fuck off.

When 50-year-old losers show up painting their faces and show their ugly mugs on national television, it's an embarrassment.

I think 50 year olds have earned the right to do what the fuck they want, after rooting for their team for four decades, long before your parents were in even puberty...

You mean the ones who show up for every fucking game, and do indeed get on television? I met BuckIGuy just before The Game in 2006, and he's an ex-scalper with tons of connections...he had eight 50-yard-line seats very close to the field (he showed them to me...they were legit). He got a cell phone call while I was by him, and he sold four of those tickets for $1,500 each. I'd say he earned his chance to dress up and front for the camera...

I can follow your first logic of him showing up at every game and can dress how he wants. I don't follow the logic from above. B/c he has connections and was able to sell tickets at an expensive price he earned his chance to dress up and front for the camara?

My personal thought is Ohio State's imagine improves if those three individuals are never shown on camara again.

attention whores often go to great lengths and expense to be noticed. I'm not sure how that is a justification, Mili.

Agreed. It's such a hassle and really hurts my enjoyment of the games and the football team as a whole.

Your sarcasm only reinforces my point. They have no impact on the game or atmosphere at all and are therefore worthless wastes of time that only serve to make us look like we need gimmicky crap to promote an intimidating atmosphere, which we don't.

If gouging Buckeyes for $1,500.00 per ticket is wrong....

They can do whatever the [censored] they want. And I can call them losers. Sorry, but that's what they are... an embarrassment.

EDIT: And when my 59-year-old dad goes to the games with his alumni tickets that he's been buying since 1973, he just wears his OSU hat and sweatshirt. He doesn't dress like some douchebag attention whore.
