I love Tress and the Bucks but he screwed up and now must take responsibility and the punishment.
I don't know if JT's issues and Bruce Pearl's issues track as well as most of the mediots are saying though (not meaning you or anyone here, but I do mean the idiots that write crap for "publications").....
The details of the two situations are almost entirely different. EDIT: It's also important to note that Pearl's issues were systemic within his system of coaching and also his assistant coaches. Tressel's issues are not nearly as deep at least within his coaching staff.
I think it's also important to note that you won't see any former players ever calling Jim Tressel "a snake". For another, you won't see JT ever trying to set up another school by calling a former recruit and baiting him into answers that would damage him or the other school.
As another - while he wasn't quite as forthright with the emails and by that I mean he didn't immediately produce them, it all depends on what you think his intentions where concerning this incident. Until I get any indications otherwise, I still think he was trying (albeit out of his lane) to control this situation "in-house" and I do think he was worried to a certain level about the well-being of his athletes.
No, comparing Pearl to Jim Tressel doesn't really jive with me. Both have had their issues, but they are both coming at compliance from different perspectives. Pearl really appears to be the guy that is sorry he gets caught.
