Rain, rain, and the next four days...rain.

The typical daily summer showers/storms in the afternoon here are one thing, but this stalled tropical system is another.

Second tropical storm in a month, it's a bummer.

Surprised there aren't any posts about the derecho that moved through the Midwest to the East Coast today. Powerful storm with a TON of lightning....don't think I've ever seen that much lightning before. Found this pic on twitter taken in Chicago

Survived the storm yesterday afternoon without damage (or at least from what I can tell). Unfortunately I got to drive right along with the storm. Finally got power back on at about 9:45 last night. Medium sized branches down in the yard, I was lucky. Some people had large trees down. One apartment building here in Pickerington had a large tree scrape the front side of the building. Looked like a bunch of roof and building damage :( Driving home I was nervous since we have 4 large trees (40 foot trees) right around the house.

Good pic:wink: I bet a lot of people can't access BP because so many are without power. Worst storms I have seen in central Ohio in a long time and I think people to the east and south got hit harder than us.

We finally got some rain last night and a little today. It was one heck of a storm last night. One bolt of lightning felt like it hit right by the house and the light came right in the room with a huge ass boom. I jumped out of bed and was like holy shit....
