That and they have like 2 plows in Clark County right now or so it seems. NOTHING is plowed, not even the highways :shake:
You guys are so lucky! Two plows? No way.

I think they start plowing here after they are sure it has stopped snowing. Pretty much the only time I see a plow is when I'm behind one - and it is plowing a clear road. My tax dollars at work.

Right now, so far, we have maybe three inches on the ground. The drive home sucked, but doable.

At Wright Pat today, the base command sent everyone an email at around 1PM saying that they would not release early. Meanwhile virtually EVERY school district in Dayton was releasing at that time or had already released.
Base command should base its wimpyness on what school kids do? (My military at work?)

We had 4 inches when they actually finally released us just so ya know. We're just short of 6 right now in Springfield (although we usually get more snow than Wright Pitiful)...

It's not the amount of snow, it's the amount of idiots on the road. I saw 4 wrecks in the first 5 miles of my drive home and there was a big one on the east side of Springfield that killed 4 people.

I just thought it was both humorous and illogical that the roads were bad enough to release the school kids, but the 20,000+ morons on base were perfectly fine to stick around.

The base should base its decisions on what's best for the employees, mainly, understanding that ODOT and the counties around WPAFB don't have a clue how to actually keep a road cleared and given the sheer number of people on the road, they should allow them to leave earlier so alleviate the congestion. Just saying....

All this talk of snow is making me feel chilly. I think I'll open up a window and let some of this 70 degree air in.

I got no running water until this shit starts to thaw.
i turned off my main line last night, but i have about 3 inches of exposed line before the main valve. pretty sure that is what is frozen.
