Sep 01 vs. Alabama (in Arlington, TX) Texas Chain Saw Massacre. NO WAY is Arlington, Texas a neutral site. That place will be filled with Confederate flags, RC Cola and Moon Pies, Dale Earnhardt wannabes and fat ladies in Spandex. Throw in the fact that Michigan has the most wins in CFB because of 63 games they played before Alabama was even a state, the result of the Civil War, red state - blue state, Big 10 V SEC, Denard for Heisman bull shit, all of which will be an integral part of the pre and post game hate fest. The Alabama band will consider doing Script Fuck Michigan.
A very unfortunate choice for an opening game. I anticipate an embarrassing loss for UM and the BIG. I fear the loss of Denard for the first half of the season. This will be a capital L
Sep 08 Air Force 3:30 pm ABC W - If there are enough starters still playing, Gardner should be able to get them by AFA.
Sep 15 Massachusetts 3:30 pm BTN - Another W. Hell UMass isn't even good enough to be in the Big East.
Sep 22 @ Notre Dame 7:30 pm NBC - W If Denard is still alive and can play I like Michigan's chances. I just want to watch Kelly turn purple and explode as the Domers eat another shit sandwich.
Oct 06 @ Purdue 4:00 PM BTN W - Sad to see what has happened to this program since the coaching change. Danny Hope(less)
Oct 13 Illinois 3:30 PM ABC W - I think Illinois is the Sparty of this decade.
Oct 20 Michigan State TBA L - If Alabama didn't kill the 'lace, ol' #2 will be head hunting. It won't matter to him if it's a clean play or a cheap shot. Look for Hoke and Dantonio to get into a post game brouhaha over dirty play and who's Little Brother now.
Oct 27 @ Nebraska 8:00 pm W - IF there is anybody left who can play QB. Far from a sure thing.
Nov 03 @ Minnesota TBA W - The gophers would be a middle of the road team in the MAC
Nov 10 Northwestern TBA W - The Wildcats are just too thin in mid November.
Nov 17 Iowa TBA W/L - Iowa has won something like 2 games in AA since WWI, but maybe they get lucky this year.
Nov 24 @ Ohio State Noon ABC L - Payback, roses- to symbolize the bowl the Buckeyes should have earned- will be everywhere.
I've re-watched the Va Tech game twice. Someone clearly found a way to hold Denard to a couple of big runs, but the guy gets away with four hail Mary's and then the refs on the field and in the booth totally screw the gobblers.
I don't know what to make of Dennard. He's exceptionally quick for the first ten - twenty yards and there aren't very many players faster for the rest of the field. BUT he makes horrible decisions in throwing the ball. He was unbelievably lucky last year in terms of TDs to Ints. There is no doubt that he can score from anywhere on the field, but there's also no doubt that he's vulnerable.
Anyway, I got them at 8 and 4
