You're asking for some serious trouble going on that route. I think that people who make ridiculous attacks on others are the losers because they resort to such childish behavior
I think people who say other people are losers because those other people first called yet a third group of people losers, are, themselves losers... as are those who call them losers.

Wait... who the hell did I just insult? I got kinda lost in the middle there.

Ahh, well. I know I'm a loser. I live in a lab and make less $$$ than your average DeVry dropout :)

Touche...but I noticed you using the sarcasm font so I wouldn't take it personally anyways

Kids in band deserve just as much recognition as anybody else that earns a letter for after-school activities, I say activities because thats what they are. They take time out after school just like any other athlete that plays a sport. They deserve it as much as the cheerleaders, soccer players, volleyball players, football players, and drill team. Just because they don't play a contact sport doesn't mean they don't contribute for their school. Band may be their thing. Just like football is my thing. What would you think if you heard a comment like this from a band member, "Football doesn't deserve a letter, but band does"? You would probably think thats a ignorant thought, well so is saying that kids in band don't deserve it, but kids on the football team do.

And for the record, if it was cool to not be cool, every bandfag would be Steve McFuckin'Queen.
Paging Princess Peach

Oh my God, an opportunity to correct Vincent's grammar? Subjunctive, Vincent. Subjunctive. If it were cool...

Actually, I've tried to avoid this train wreck of a thread since is started. But since I'm here, I have an academic letter. Bucky, don't forget that geeks rule. I probably would have had a real letter, but I sadly made the awful decision to quit basketball during my sophmore year in favor of *sigh* drama club. I chose... poorly.

I also was never a band geek. I was too busy with... um... show choir... :nerd:

i also have an academic letter, its the only letter i have as of right now. I was out of line on the above comments, but what is even more frustrating is how at my school they give letters for choir,Forensics(which is like debate), and Drama. I believe that shouldnt be happening

I've seen plenty of schools that give letters for various non-athletic activities. I think that is great as it gives every kid a chance to find their niche. However, many of those schools have separate jacket styles for kids only involved in one or the other...

Our school doesn't even sell the jackets. they don't even give us you the papers to them. They are available to buy, but you have to buy them at the local sporting goods store for a nice $350.

They didn't even tell us where we can get them at. If I didn't ask another player where he got his, I wouldn't even have known where to get one.
