Days like today almost make me regret having a child.

I hung pictures of her all around my desk at work, so no matter which direction I look, I see her.

If not for me having a mouth to feed and a family to provide for, I'd have bitchslapped my boss today. I mean that with the utmost sincerity. I don't give a fuck how many degrees you have or how important you used to be...motherfucker, you work in a warehouse too. I don't take well to being talked down to. I understand my lack of formal education is a negative to employers, but that doesn't mean I'm stupid.

He talks to me like that again, and my daughter will eventually grow to understand.

Let me tell you, that it wouldn't matter how much education you have, some people are just assholes and want to make sure that folks know they are way more important than what they are.

Not to be an ass, but I have way more education, expertise, and experience in the business than most of the folks at the top of my company. They still don't mind telling me just how much smarter and better than me they are. Not only do they say it, but they do it by ignoring the advice I provide or by failing to realize that they need to ask questions of those who have a better understanding. Of course then they wonder why things just aren't going the way they want them to.

work blew today

secretary (she is to good to be called that...she prefers Office manager...) has a college aged daughter who is on spring break.

So for the whole week she has been coming in to do something...still haven't figured out what she does for 6-8 hours...But the office is fairly quite usually...until she turns on her internet radio. It is loud enough that I can hear the songs, quite enough that no one else can though. She is a hummer & a singer during these craptastic songs (Kiss FM I would assume).

She is also a loud talker & Loud eater which just gets very aggravating after a morning of crap music.

doesn't help that my boss has been giving me all the crap work since they canned the co-op guy & the other boss needs me to finish off 2 projects before he goes on vacation.

I can't wait for the baby to come so I can take some vacation from that crap pool.


Bring your daughter to work day (week / semester) really blows for the record.

I was looking at apartments in Santa Cruz a few nights ago and they were just a little more expensive than the apartments I'm looking at in Columbus for the fall.

The catch is that I have a job here and not in CA. :lol:
