How does work make you feel today?

im starting to think I didn't get the job, or at least they passed me up..

The position I applied for way back in January, was never on their website under the employment opportunities (my adviser sent me the info), and after my 2 interviews with them, I just saw they put up that position on the website under the employment sometime this week, starting to lose hope :(

I don't want to do this anymore. Time to go home for the night. :smash:

Got off the phone about half an hour ago and landed a part time job back in Orlando at just $0.05 less than I'm making right now! I can't wait to be back in the theme parks working and taking my pick of the beach or parks on my days off.

Unfortunately...that means giving my two weeks at my current job, and it isn't going to be easy. Things have calmed down after our annual campaign kickoff, but spring is a busy fundraising season. Hoping that my boss understands and that I'm not leaving them in too much of a bind...but damnit, I'm coming back to Florida for good!

Whaaaaat and leave beautiful Fort Wayne behind?

I'll actually kind of miss Fort Wayne and the minor league sports (especially the TinCaps and Parkview Field), and all the great places I've found for taking pictures. But since I live about a half hour outside of Ft. Wayne (Decatur to be exact, formerly Berne), I definitely won't miss living in the middle of nowhere.

Since I've never done this before...any advice on the short and sweet notice letter? Memo format, formal letter...crossing my fingers I don't burn bridges in the process, because I've honestly enjoyed working at this Y for the most part, so keeping those connections would be nice for future possibilities.

Rule #1 "There is always a better job." But be respectful.
There is no such thing as a "company man" anymore! All benefits are going away. And they know they can't buy loyalty. You are just a commodity to them.
