I decided a long time ago that I wasn't going to be turning wrenches/common laborer my whole life.
got my first indoor/white collar job in '02ish. and for the most part have been office personnel ever since.
been with current company about 3-1/2 years. couple promotions along the way, all good.
well due to my experience/knowledge in what we do, I'm the only office guy who is qualified to also work in the field and sign off on pressure tests. so thanks to our current shortage of personnel, I have been in the field the last two days and going back again tomorrow.
100+ heat index every day. driving 3 hours each way, working 13 hours on site, and having a horrific run of luck so far.
I'm getting too old to do this shit every day.
