I am starting a new volunteering gig next week, and a new job.

My volunteering gig has me helping tutor retarded kids. I am not sure that is going to end well. . .

I'd get them a leash. You know, one of those ones you can hook on the clothesline so they can run back and forth where there's plenty of room for them to dig and play.

Trust me, those kids will really blossom.

I am just planning on showing up with a few helmets for the kids and in fully hockey padding, and just say, "I heard retards are freakishly strong."

I play it by ear from there.

Someone just offered me some cash to show up with some poster board and writing on it saying, "how to not right like a Tard" and put it up in my room.

I am debating accepting the offer, as I love dares. . .

But I don't want to hurt any tard feelings, so I won't. If they even have feelings. . .

. . .

Honestly though, I am not really helping head crashers. I am working with kids that come from impovershed or just dangerous backgrounds and are behind because they haven't had the attention they need.

So, sorta tarded kids.

So this "PM" that we are working with on a project likes to hold meetings where our organizations "collaborate" on things right. The more people the merrier because all ideas are great. Then we meet one week later and rehash and add more to the statement of work. He asked me to put an agenda together for a meeting next week between our companies. Here's my thought:

  1. Introductions
  2. Throw shit at wall
  3. See what sticks
  4. Write it down
  5. End meeting

Emails and texts started lighting up my phone from former co-workers on Friday.

Turns out the ass who ran our group had an abrupt exit from their organization. Not a lot of details, everyone assumes it was the organization's choice... and a good one at that.

Anyhow, it gave me pause to consider the year that I've been gone. The absolute worst day at my new company was better than the average day at my old company.

It was a good Friday.
