Applied for a different position within my department late last week for the sole purpose of finally doing something new without taking a cut in pay. I feel pretty good about my chances of getting the spot, however...just the other night my wife finds a posting to show me, and it sounds exactly like what I actually want to do next (still with DIS, just a different area). So I talk with my manager, we do a bit of calling/digging and I reach the conclusion it's time to bite the bullet and make a polished portfolio website. Last night I secured a domain, and now today I have spent quite literally all day deciding on a platform, buying the subscription, and then building the thing (this is the first time I've taken more than a roughly 10+ break on the damn thing since about 10 this morning, and I'm still not 100% finished, probably about 75%). With all the time into this, I better at least get an interview out of it.

Now to play the "who calls first" waiting game. I hate it.

Work is pretty freeken cool today. I just got off the phone with Juan Pablo Montoya and he invited me up to Mid Ohio next weekend as his guest. We also just picked up Rusty Wallace and Landon Cassill as customers.
