I could easily say I wish Manziel would have had a great impact against LSU.

at least he doesn't have at least 8 other players with comparable stats.I could easily say I wish Manziel would have had a great impact against LSU.
I'd say do the same for Teo but he didn't even show up in his biggest games. His numbers were great overall...the problem is they only played three teams worth anything. Bama, Florida and LSU. His numbers in those three games...
74/117 63% 234 passing yards per game 2TD 3INT 60 yards rushing per game and 1 rushing TD And his team went 1-2
The rest of the games they played were against some pretty big time softies. Makes Ohio State's schedule look like murders row.
How can you say that though? Notre Dame's defense was always solid. Can you point to any players where Teo clearly screwed up?BuckeyeNation27;2274814; said:I'd say do the same for Teo but he didn't even show up in his biggest games.

NDs defense is a hell of a lot more than just Teo. he's got defensive linemen who might just be better players than he is. just because he supposedly didn't screw up, you want to name him the best player in college football? How can you say that though? it's OK. we've got at least the next one. something tells me the mighty SEC is going to catch up to mr manziel.I think the right player has won the award for two years straight, even though their team wasn't in contention for a national title either time.
That's a good thing, the award was too often 'the best player on the best team' recently.
I don't think that Te'o had the impact on games that Suh or Glenn Dorsey had during their last years in college.
And the Heisman is a 1-year award. It's good that a freshmen won it - career stats shouldn't matter, otherwise Montee Ball could have been seriously considered this year.
I' also glad that ND didn't get their 8th trophy. But I'll now root for almost anybody besides Manziel for the next couple of years, in order for Archie's achievement to stay unique.
It'll be interesting to see if Manziel stays eligible through the Johnny Football merchandising mess.BB73;2274819; said:But I'll now root for almost anybody besides Manziel for the next couple of years, in order for Archie's achievement to stay unique.
