Heisman 2012 vBet and discussion

McCarron had a paltry 1849 yds coming into yesterday yet he was a front runner (or close runner up) on most ballots. Golson will be the face of a preseason frontrunner and media darling.

Barner is gone in 2012 and Thomas has been a devastating runner, receiver and returner. It stands to reason he will step in nicely like Barner did for James.

McCarron had no interceptions heading into yesterday's game. There is your reason...

I don't think Golson will be a Heisman contender next year. He's a redshirt freshman thats still improving. I don't think Notre Dame's record will be as good this time next year either. For one they're losing a few big members on defense, #1 being Manti. We're also losing at least 3 of our offensive linemen too if I'm not mistaken. They've been recruiting well to fill in the holes, but I'm not sure they have the depth in upperclasmen. On the plus side we get Oklahoma, Arizona State, BYU, Michigan State, and USC at home, but thats still a rough slate before you consider Michigan and Stanford away.

I'd move this to the heisman thread but I can't recall if merging messes up vbets.

Merging any posts that are older than the first post in the vBet can cause problems, but recent posts coming into a vBet thread should be OK.

If Braxton comes up big this week and in The Game his name will be back at the top of the list.

Braxton was never on the list outside of our fan base. Just one more negative consequence of probation. Technically eligible for it, no way you're getting it.

Next year, on the other hand, he should be one of the "hopefuls" early in the campaign. Can't wait!

As for tonight, bet everything you have on Te'o wherever you can as the "field" vbet will win. Too many voters have been waiting 25 years for a season like this one. It's all about Notre Dame. :shake:

Where do you come up with these things? Braxton was continuously listed as a front runner by the media folks. Those same media folks coincidentally constitute the majority of the Heisman votes. In what world what that mean he was never on the 'list'?

Without knocking Braxton - its a large tell on how weak the field
Is this year when Vince Young puts up better stats then Manziel,
(On top of going undefeated) and comes in 2nd (or was it third?)
In Heisman voting.

Meanwhile Johnny Football will have the statue. I'm not calling
Him undeserving. Just relating how I feel.

considering Brax will finish 5th, pretty sure that doesn't make him never on the list...if he had much better games against Wisconsin and even Michigan, he woulda had a shot at top 3
