HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

4. We won’t play another team that can affect us like TCUN. There’s no team out there with a front like TCUN and that includes everyone in the SEC. So the one area where we can be hurt (our OL) I don’t think there’s another team out there that can do that.
have you actually watched any college football other than the Buckeyes this year? while on their way to whooping Alabama's ass this year, Tennessee played TEN defensive linemen in the first half. Ole Miss has an excellent front four. so does Texas and South Carolina. while none of them may have two DT's as good as scUM's, ALL of them have excellent, and deep, D lines. D line was a major point of focus for Urban. he used to rotate the entire second line in on the third series of every game.

but Day? he played all four starting D linemen on 52 of 57 snaps on Saturday. the same thing goes for basically the entire roster. He never gives the backups any reps. it's borderline criminal roster mismanagement.

oh. as an aside, i was talking to a couple from Detroit today. she is much more talkative than he is. she told me that while they were watching The Game, he kept saying, "There they go! running it up the middle again!" and laughing.

when octogenarian fans of the other team are laughing at you, you're probably not doing a very good job.

Yeah I did and I maintain my opinion. Ole Miss and SC aren’t even likely to make the playoffs.

While I agree Tennessees defense is good they aren’t as good as TCUN up front. They aren’t.

They do.

First things first we really need to be #8 and play at home vs a presumed #9 Tennessee. If we get that we will win that game and then we will get Oregon in a rematch. It’s hard to win that game twice guys.

If we somehow get through that then lookout because we have all the confidence we need.

There’s just two major hurdles.

1. Do we get to be at home or not first round.
2. Are we going to just play to our strengths
We will be harder to defend because we won’t go full retard. Rivalry games are a one off …. At least I hope.

I heard in the radio this morning that Day had a play sheet in his hand during the game.

Has this not been the case all season?
That's been the case all season but I gotta say it's not *just* a play call sheet. It's probably different/various special teams, probably the base defense and offense packages, etc, plus (probably) a few play scripts they want to emphasize.

Apologize if this has been mentioned before, but is this just a disgruntled player making stuff up? Or is it true? Was it talked about back in the day?

Tyreke transferred that offseason, to Nebraska, where he didn't play much, partially due to injuries.

While Ryan is learning on the job, it would be improbable for this to not come out for 4 entire years, especially with how they've been playing vs Michigan. This also isn't a story that surfaces a few minutes after maybe the worst OSU loss in program history, unless that is to amplify what it claims.

Yes ... Day always has the play sheet... because if he wanted to override Kelly he'd call his own play.... or the worst case scenario would be he never gave up play calling....

Based on what? This is purely blind hope at this point. There is absolutely nothing empirical to back that hope. The Game will never be an easier opportunity for a win and he handled it in the worst imaginable way. He's northeastern Mark Richt
Really? None? Not the tremendous talent he's bring in? Not going to PSU in an intimidating environment and winning? Not going into the most intimidating environment I've seen in years at Oregon and losing by 1 pt? Not a National Championship game appearance? Not being 10-and-fucking-2 and the wholel fucking world wants to fire him?

You guys are letting your emotions about losing to those cocksuckers color your judgement.

I will admit you may turn out to be right. But right now I see a bunch of fucking spoiled children holding their breath and stomping their feet. "I want him fired!! Fire him, Daddy!"
