HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

i can imagine a conversation that would go something along the lines of, “what if martindale breaks his blitzing tendency?” to which the answer would be, “as long as he doesn’t bring extra pressure, maybe we can counter with trying to run?”

and even without blitzing, if i recall, the stats showed* that he was able to get pressure on howard, collapse his pocket and take away his scrambling lanes.

* i will double check how many pressures howard had
also… if we needed to tie up our tight ends and rb’s with line blocking support, it means that it would free up their lb’s to jam up out receivers on crossing routes.

i don’t know if that’s what they were actually doing. i’d have to rewatch (which i have no desire to).

Santa came way early for old Wink. What game planning did he have to come up with, when the opposing team runs up into the most fortified part of your D and with a new group of offensive linemen? Lol
it’s the only move they (tcun) had. it’s the only thing they at their disposal to change things up and show something different on defense. there was literally nothing else, on either side of the ball they could adjust in terms of their gameplan.

so, basically, what their whole gameplan rested on was that their defensive line could manhandle our’s plus a couple extra blockers. nothing more, nothing less. and they were right on 90%+ of the snaps.

No kidding lol it cracks me up people acting like we got out coached. Our coaches tripping over their own dicks and doing stupid shit does not = Sherrone and Co "outcoaching" them, scUM ran the same gameplan they have literally all season, the one that had them at 6-5 and Day decided to try to prove something by playing right into their only strength.

If I'm a race car driver and don't make the first turn and crash into the wall, I didn't get out-raced by the other guys. I just out-stupided them.

Ok, now that I’ve had some time to reflect, I think we keep Day. I feel he will turn this around. Why?
1. Don’t forget those 3 previous losses came from cheating
2 I’ve heard a thousand times “throw out the records” but when an underdog actually wins everyone is aghast
3. This isn’t a Cooper situation. I’m proud of this team and the way they represent the OSU community. I borderline hated Cooper’s teams

I did not take your post @1926Buckeyes as you being a dick.

I also have a hard time believing Ryan Day's wife is assaulted at Kroger in Powell, maybe if she does to the one in Delaware lol but aren't they at Olentangy Liberty? You think his family gets bullied there? I'm sure there are plenty of retards out there, but I think the person who is unhealthy RE: the rivalry is Day himself.

He has allowed it to consume him. To be bigger than him. His predecessors did not have this problem.

I feel bad for the guy, and his family. I do. But I am so tired of this narrative that OSU fans are so bad to poor Ryan Day and no one wants to coach or play here.

Fight or flight, and our guy freezes.
I live in Lewis Center. We all bully each other, especially at Kroger's.
