HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

If they come out in the playoff game and it’s obvious Day lost the team you can’t keep him

That's the only way he's gone, IMO. If players sit out and/or if they get blown out, it would force the change to be made.
Does this include the likely incoming suspensions for the fracas after the game or does that give him a pass based on who got suspended?

Not sure why they are getting such odds. Even if the offense and defense perform (and the offense is a big if after watching Saturdays game plan) odds are special teams gets us eliminated along the way. And that’s directly on Day as well.
Because when you're not emotional - like all of us - about OSU's lousy performance, on a week filled with them...

... you realize that everyone is pretty suspect.

Oregon is the only kind of good team, and they should have lost at home to this flawed OSU team. They've had more than a few clunkers.
Quinn Ewers almost Wilton Speighted that 3 TD win away vs ATM.
Notre Dame is somewhat good, but far from consistent.
Georgia plays competent football about 30% of the contest. It took them forty seven tries... and tremendous amounts of favorable officiating, to put away GT.

Penn State, Ohio State & Indiana would get housed by big ten championship teams from the past, yet all of them are right near the top of the league this year.

Tennessee? Clemson? Bama? Some of them will back into the playoffs without any real consistency to justify it.

BYU? Miami? SMU? Boise? Hardly rare air.

Yeah for me it’s a short list…

1. Vrabel- who the beat thinks we can land if we offer it.

2. Freeman- he’s a buckeye, he’s young, and his teams do play hard. They’re used to playing a physical brand.

3. Cig- unpopular here it seems but he does win and what he did with Indiana is tremendous. His confidence a lone would shake this program awake vs the teams we need to be awake for.
1. Not happening he’s an NFL coach not a college one
2. Burned that bridge when he said he’d wished he’d gone to ND
3. Meh boosters aren’t wanting to pay 35+ for Day and another 30+ for Cig

I mean Day stood there with a thumb up his ass and stupid look on his face instead of trying to get control of his team. I wouldn’t give him a reee pass on any of that.

Short of clear evidence of a player punching anyone or leading to the downed cop, it would seem challenging to hand out clean suspensions for that.

Jack's not getting suspended for one of the more efficient methods to end the flag drama.

Where do you think the suspensions will come from? Ohio State or the fucks down at the league office? You damn well know that tcun is never going to voluntarily admit the slightest bit of fault much less suspend anyone. It literally is against everything in their institutional DNA, so why should Ohio State? If it's the B1G, then it had better damn well be equally applied.

This is CPD we’re talking about. They have a permanent hard on for busting OSU players. They’ll drum up something

Something that a lot of people are misinformed about. We don't have a huge number of big money football boosters like similar programs. That was a cultural decision made all the way back in Woody's days. AD fundraising was based on tens of thousands of modest Buckeye Club donations because Woody didn't want a U Texas type of culture where several big cigars sit in their star chamber and run the program. It's never really changed because it never really needed to.

Barring an unusually large gift, total AD donations these days are about 6-7 percent of overall donations in a given year, and the AD just received its first ever 8 figure donation a couple of years ago while the university has received scores of (including a few 9 figure) huge donations.

If there's concrete evidence (including internal body cams), then there's plenty of justification for penalties here. That was a dangerous situation.

For as emotional and extended of a situation it was, there was a surprising percentage of players trying to defuse it on both sides.
