I truly thought that Georgia game Day in the peach bowl would come back to us yesterday. That aggressive play calling, energy, fuck the world attitude, etc. Why on gods earth does it seem like he doesn’t wanna score 50 on these fuckers. You have to get a lead on ttun. Make JJ drop back 30-40 times knowing your pass rush would have been able to tea off on em. Rather he didn’t trust Kyle or what. With our weapons it’s no got damn way we could only score 24 even with the 2 turnovers..Frustrating man.

That is (14) Michigan starters 22 years or older to OSU’s (6).

This has been the trend for (3) years as Michigan banged COVID transfer portal. That loophole is now closed, and everyone is back to a neutral playing field.

FSU and Michigan exploited this window like no other teams…..and it shows. As an FSU grad it sucks Jordan Travis injury has essentially nuked that window. Both Michigan and FSU return to the depths of mediocrity following this season.

Recruiting is essential to programs, unless a once a lifetime pandemic hits giving kids free years of eligibility and unlimited transfer ability.

I’m withholding judgement on Ryan until the playing field has overwhelmingly neutralized and everyone is playing from same deck. That hasn’t been the case for a while now. OSU was able to utilize a few outliers (Cade, Proctor, Matthew Jones) but they didn’t make it the core of their team.

I’d also argue, beyond the sign stealing, one neutralizing component in playing UGA (in comparison to Michigan) is that the Dawgs do not stack and collect grad transfers like Michigan did. It’s a huge advantage they (Michigan) leaned into.

Amen. Our guys were hungry and played hard all day. Harrison did back off a little on a couple plays but he was all in otherwise.

The guys could have really used a big spark play….and since scum didn’t turn it over, we should have tried some blitzes and trick plays. But just more and more vanilla…..all game. Bizarre.

that was a team that came out with the same intensity that they do for every other game, started lethargic and whenever they needed a big play or a big stop, couldn’t get it done.

The other team cares more about the game and it has shown over and over again. Ryan Day can stand at a podium and say whatever the hell he wants but the team has not shown up with any more fire or intensity or urgency than they did in 2021. Day is the king of lip service. Those of you who think that team came out with any different temperament just because the result was closer are absolutely delusional.

They have ridiculed us at every turn and we just show up and take it every single time. If you’re okay with that it’s certainly your prerogative but don’t act like it’s not happening.

We are now a program that can be clowned on at will because we have a coach who refuses to do anything about it.

This is an interesting point we've won the game with far less talented players before. I mean we have potential 1st/2nd round draft picks in our offensive skill positions and for three years in a row we can't beat them? I still remember Devier Posey, Sanzenbacher and Stoneburner going all over their asses, Brandon Saine and Dan Herron running hard against them and none of them were half as talented as the WRs RBs we have today. That's revealing of something imo

Honest question. Why dies everyone write off Lincoln? He was a top recruit with extreme athleticism just like Fields. Fields was a true sophomore that didn't have a year in the OSU system like Lincoln has. Why write off one OSUs big recruits so early?

I think it's a combo that we really haven't seen what he can do even in a spring game and the question of the competition he played again in high school. Devin Brown was suppose to be real athletic and his high school highlights make it look like his legs were going to be a real weapon. When he got to this level it just wasn't there. I think there is even more of a question of the level of competition between Utah and South Dakota.

Fields was out of suburban Atlanta and he got into some games with Georgia before transferring. There wasn't a question of the competition he played against in high school and he showed he had speed at the college level.

I don't think he trusts Kyle like he did second season Stroud, but Stroud is likely going to go down as the best Buckeye QB ever. I feel like this was supposed to be the beginning of the Ewers era, but NIL ruined that. I would hate to be a college coach in this era where you not only have to recruit HS players, but you have to keep your own players when they don't see the field right away.

Agree. But I saw a lot of 3rd string QBs come in yesterday coast to coast and not look bad at all. The coaching, preparation, and supporting cast are important. OSU is supposed to be good in these areas.

Lincoln needs to play in the bowl game. Meaningful first half minutes. Period. If he sucks then go find a new one. We can’t babysit these players for 3 years hoping they will pan out while we are facing teams who simply reload after their generational QB goes to the NFL.

I was afraid Kyle would cost us a game this year but held out hope Day would keep M on their heels a bit thus giving Kyle a chance to chill out. But no. Nervous bird he was.

M would have been forced to adjust If we come out in tempo and bring Lincoln out for a scripted 2 or 3 plays there.

Was Ewers ever actually going to play for the Buckeyes? I thought he came here because the NIL passed in Ohio and he could cash in here but not in Texas then once Texas passed a NIL bill, he was able to get it in the place he actually wanted to be at. Like I understand Day giving him a spot and gambling that maybe once in the building he could potentially help to keep him but if Ohio doesn't pass a NIL bill before Texas, I'm not sure Ewers ever steps foot in Columbus.

The changing of transfer rules where you don't have to sit out a year has a much bigger impact on players entering the portal than NIL deals do.
