They didn't lose that much last year though. That's the whole thing. They had a team full of guys who have been there for 4-5 and in a couple cases 6 years. The average age of their lines was older than some NFL teams. Harbaugh greatly benefitted from that extra year of eligibility due to the Covid year where OSU doesn't tend to keep guys around that long. They also have an NIL program that is designed specifically to keep veteran players there for another year. I don't give a fuck about star ratings. When you can keep that many guys in your program for that long who have all bought in to what you're selling, you are going to build a beast. Nobody wants to admit that Simple Jim has put together the best team they've had since 2006, and maybe 1997. Urban never faced a TCUN team like this, and Tressel only a couple. It sucks but it's true. 'They cheated" only goes so far. In the end, the Bucks just didn't get it done. However, after this year they lose close to 50 of those long time guys, and the talent behind them isn't as good. That's why they have been hell bent on being all in this year......this year has been their best shot. Will the wheels fall off up there next year? Probably not, but there will be a big drop off, especially with a much tougher schedule in Texas, USC, Oregon and OSU.We heard the same thing last year and the year before!
