Being under Bert isn't a place any coach wants to be. More than your soul will be crushed.
I get your open criticisms of Day but using Riley in your argument is weak sauce. One or two more have moved in that might be better than Day as well. Lincoln Riley is on the way in....it isn't going to get any easier for lil' Coop.

Didn’t know Heiman’s was a good measuring stick for a coach. Two offense first, defense optional, B12 type coaches who specialize in QB development. Riley is up 3 Heisman's to none.
He is going to be a major thorn in Days side on the QB recruiting circuit if Day is still at OSU in '24.

Riley has done nothing so far to show he is a better coach than Day.
I never said they were different. I said you need a better example of a conference coach to be fearful of (ie, a better coach) than Riley. The fact that, as you say, they are similar just makes my point. When you are talking to a QB recruit about how you will develop him? It may just come up and that's all Day has to compete on right now. QB development and his offense.
He's not as different from Riley as you would like to believe.

Why? Does Riley even bother recruiting QBs?Two offense first, defense optional, B12 type coaches who specialize in QB development. Riley is up 3 Heisman's to none.

the cade stover of the 1st half of the season was a completely different cade stover than the one we saw in the 2nd half of the season.I’d be curious to see a deeper dive into the offensive set numbers, but I felt like Cade Stover progressively became a split TE throughout the season.
I feel like became part of our issue on offense. I think the pleasant surprise he has been, lent OSU to keep adding to his plate and they wanted to flex him to incorporate him into the WR screen game.
But that set is so predictable…..when Cade lines up in slot he’s either sprinting wide to get a block on WR screen, or he’s running a drag into the middle and sitting down in coverage.
I don’t know…..give me the Cade who plays from a true TE position, attacks the seam on pass plays off the LOS, or stays in and chips or helps double team a DE.
When I say OSU has become too finesse……my #1 example would be Cade Stover flexed out. I hate it with a passion.
IMO Cade wasn't the same after the Wisconsin game. I think he was pretty beat up from what I could tell.the cade stover of the 1st half of the season was a completely different cade stover than the one we saw in the 2nd half of the season.
call it a tough B1G schedule, or a lingering injury, or that he was used in a different way, or whatever... but completely different player for whatever reason.
