wait, uve never heard of piqua? ur supposed to be a buckeye fan! quinn is from piqua and hes been with ohio state for what 5 years now? it has a population of over 20,000 people. its not that small dude.

Compared to Columbus, its a little spect. Columbus has 711,470 people, and 1,708,625 in Central Ohio.

I'm a big buckeye fan, but I don't pay attention to the towns each player came from.

I never really read much on the recruiting end of this site. Just stuff in Central Ohio. I have heard Piqua in scores before. But I never knew where it was at.

You guys should have fun with Grove City. I'm not sure if the kid is back, but last year they had a 6'9" safety. If he's back, I hope you guys don't rely on the pass.

well even if they dont have him, they have a deadly line. but we know we wont walk in and let them hand the W to us. but they are still a young team since they lost some greats last year. but we look very good with our run game, pass game, and all of our defense. our linebackers are LOADED and im not just saying that because that is where i play at, but we have some good veterans and some really great rookies. so we will find out in 48 days when HS football starts. oh yea, who do u open up against?

Independence HS

They are in the City League also. But they are that one team that we face that isn't in our division. Should be a easy win. We beat them 49-6 last year. With 40 points by the second quarter.

Current/Transferring OSU RB Erik Haw went to Independence.

Not fair! I graduated in 61, long before the playoffs. But the Fighting Fairmont Dragons were an incredible 28 and 2 while I was there, loosing games my senior year to Chaminade and Troy.

However I was teaching at Moeller during the glory years and went to state several times. What an experience.

I remember that game. Marion Local had absolutely no answer for Maag. It was a close game though, if I remember.....29-27 or something like that?
I think it was 28-26 (2 missed extra points by Marion Local). Grove had a 28-6 lead at one point in the second half and ML came roaring back... ML scored with 6 minutes left in the game. Grove then took a long and methodical drive and instead of scoring they to kill the clock on ML's 5 yard line. Great game to watch.

BTW, Maag is playing at Ashland. He redshirted in both football and track.

Yep, 1994. Buckeye Local. Played Chardon, lost 17-6. Our team had never seen turf before, and it really caused alot of problems. Chardon ran the option constantly, and damn were they good at it.

I was so proud though. This area of Ohio is not known for great football other than Steubenville. Was nice to get so far, even though it was a shame to lose.
