I thought that Urban always asked for a 2 year commitment when he hired his assistant coaches so that would mean, if that were true, Schiano has one more year.
Can we keep him?
To be frank, why would any one want to hire him as a head coach? Besides the nepotism of the college head coaching world (see Gene Chizik). Remove the 2006 year and his stint at Rutgers was very average. Even less than average seeing he was coaching in the Big East and never won it, even in the 2006 season he was second. We won't go into his NFL experience since that does not translate to college.Can we keep him?
