Green Bay Packers (Official Thread)

I know what you mean. I am just hoping that the lack of news means that both sides are working together and grant will get a deal that's good for both sides. I really loved his running style and i think hes a perfect fit for this team.

UW's DeBauche, Georgia's Lumpkin, a long snapper and Division III's best running back and receiver are part of the list

It will be a long shot, but perhaps the Packers will find their running back depth with the winner of Division III?s equivalent of the Heisman Trophy. The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater?s Justin Beaver will take part in this week?s rookie-orientation camp....

Posted Apr 30, 2008

In this third of a four-part series focusing on the NFC North, the Sports Xchange reviews the Green Bay Packers? draft. The Packers moved on from the Favre era by drafting two quarterbacks.

Unless they have a change of heart and remove him from the reserve/retired list before next season, the Packers indeed have put the Brett Favre era behind them.
No matter the possibly suggestive remarks Favre has made in recent interviews that he isn't long for retirement, the unusual outcome of Green Bay's draft last weekend indicated otherwise.....

Linemen with an attitude

Sitton, Giacomini hope to carry on their "mean streaks"

The Cincinnati Reds had the "Nasty Boys" once upon a time with the relief-pitching trio of Norm Charlton, Rob Dibble and Randy Myers. Football's version could reside in Green Bay. Although the atmosphere was purposely subdued because it was an indoctrination, the Packers' rookie orientation camp May 2-4 gave the coaches a taste of the nastiness possessed by offensive linemen Breno Giacomini and Josh Sitton.
