For me it was a hard choice. Garcias death was a shitty day for me big time. I hated that he checked out because I had so many great times at his shows.

But as far as biggest loss, I was torn between Lennon and Marley because I think those two guys had an effect of the world. They altered people politically, spiritually and socially.

In the end I think Marley was as close to a leader of people and had more influance than any of the other choices.

I'd say Bradley Nowell of Sublime deserves inclusion on the list. He died just before they were about to hit it big and I think they would have been amazing...of course I'm a huge Sublime fan.
Agreed. I also think Tupac deserves more credit than he will probably get.

Of the people on the list, Jimi Hendrix... His music was and still is amazing!!! Machine Gun and Little Wing are probably my favorite songs by him..

I'd like to see some consideration to Dimebag Darrell.... He could shred on the guitar and he along with Pantera kept Metal alive during the grunge era (not that that was a bad era... )

Ditto, but damn that is a tough question. I had a hard time choosing between Jim, Jimi and John. Lennon's departure wasn't so early (in his life), so it was between Hendrix and Morrison. The Doors were my favorite growing up so Morrison edges Jimi in a photo finish at the tape...

My write in vote would be for Jon Bonham because that ended Led Zeppelin as a band (even though they had probably run their course already by then)...
