That's about what I've been thinking.
Not to mention that Auburn of last year had that "special something", IMO.

I don't know. Mandel is picking the Longhorns ... apparently so is Corso. That's a double whammy of bad mojo that Texas is going to have to overcome.

I will tell you all what will happen. Texas will win and get the BCS title. However according to some writers USC had a bad day and they are still the best time in there minds. USC will seal the deal with the AP and have the 3 peat and will continue to do so the next 40 to 45 years

I'm pulling for Texas for the same reason I root against ND and the 02 Miami team: Hype.

Now I know that USC has had alot of attention on them for awhile, but you cannot say that Texas is not one gigantically-hyped up team. I would feel fine with saying that they get just as much hype as USC gets, only difference is USC has 2 National championships and a 34-game winning streak.

Dude, do you live in Texas? Everywhere else, it's USC this and USC that and .. oh, yeah, Texas will be there too... (Hell, even Dan Patrick talked about Texas being "disprespect" in this regard)

I like how in all of the BCS games so far the times wearing white have shown up on top. Here's for another i would hope!

Stupid USC and their "greatest team of all time" and "ESPN analyzes if any past team can touch 05 USC even though they haven't even won the championship yet".

Just to be pedantic, if we're comparing the recent NC Buckeyes to the current Longhorns, it should be:

05 Horns = 02 Bucks (season)
or
06 Horns = 03 Bucks (bowls)
